Stephanie Mueller

MARKETING + ADVERTISING + PRODUCTION

A native of St. Louis, Missouri, Stephanie fell in love with Ann Arbor and the University of Michigan — where she earned her BA in Sport Management while working for the Michigan athletic department, the Detroit Pistons & Shock, and A+E Networks. Her internship at A+E turned her on to the media and entertainment industry in New York, enjoying it so much she made it her mission to return. After a few months living in her best friend’s parents’ house on Long Island, job hunting in the 2008 recession, she was offered an opportunity at a boutique ad agency and production company. Working with that team for eight years, she rose from being an account coordinator supporting the creative team and managing client social media projects to ultimately running the production department.

As Head of Production, she managed the internal team, freelancers, and external vendors she hired based on the type and complexity of each project. Working with the creative team to determine what we could do with established budgets, she took the creative and ran with it, both booking production teams and working on set in almost every capacity. She set every budget, every schedule, and was the key project manager connecting the clients, the creative team, and all necessary vendors involved with finishing and delivering each project.

After leaving the agency, Steph (you can call her Steph) did some freelance production work including the music video for Selena Gomez and Kygo’s hit “It Ain’t Me” and began a contract with the NBCU Hispanic Group. At NBCU, she developed proactive ad sales marketing strategies, responded to pre-sale client RFPs and created marketing materials to educate internal sales and marketing teams on new programs, offerings, sponsorship opportunities.

Steph enjoyed her time at the agency and loved her experience at NBCU, but her contract ended and she moved on to an independent lifestyle media company, Liquor.com, which was acquired by Dotdash in 2019 (Dotdash later acquired Meredith Publishing). Now, as an Associate Director on Dotdash Meredith’s Lifestyle team, Stephanie develops sales strategy and brand marketing opportunities for the spirits and beer advertiser categories.

She lives with her cat Odin in New York City, walking distance from everything, and spends her free time in the company of friends, baking, playing beach volleyball, plotting her next travel destination, and cheering on the Michigan Wolverines and St. Louis Cardinals.
