The thing about family vacations is that you get to spend time with your family. In our first family vacation in seven years, the first vacation as a family of five, and celebrating our parents 35th anniversary (36th by the time we actually flew out), my little family got to explore an Iberian wonderland for a week. The week wasn’t nearly enough time to see everything (however definitely enough consecutive time with the fam), but all the more reason to come back to Spain, and convince my parents to retire there instead of Florida.
Barcelona, Valencia, and Madrid were all amazing cities to explore. I enjoyed Madrid and Valencia more than I thought I would, and due to extenuating circumstances, Barcelona will receive a do-over.
